Grande Prairie Chamber of Commerce
This award was based on key indicators such as Business Performance, Strength of Management, Community Involvement, Future Planning Ability, Human Resource Practices and the overall Integrity and Consistency of the company.
Center for Research and Innovation
In recognition of outstanding innovation in the design and development of tools that included the reduced impact pipeline system approach to pipelining to develop, for tenacious contributions to ensuring system change and for entrepreneurial spirit.
Emerald Foundation
Stratus Pipelines, along with Devon Canada, Alberta Environments Partners In Resource Excellence and Alberta Sustainable Development’s Oil Sands Branch, were presented with the Emerald Challenge Award. This award was presented for the partnering of these different organizations to create the Innovative Pipelining Strategies system. This system was developed for the Devon Canada Jackfish project in the Fort McMurray oilsands and this partnership resulted in specialized equipment and processes being developed and successfully implemented.
Alberta Chamber of Resources
This recognition came from Randy Galbreath’s innovative approach to pipelining, specifically the use of narrow buckets and compaction wheels to minimize the environmental impact during the pipeline construction process.
